FOR the second week running it’s all about Brendan Fevola.

Fevola, who unwittingly stole the spotlight with his drunken antics at last week’s Brownlow Medal count, made headlines again on Wednesday after Carlton confirmed it was looking to offload the wayward forward.

St Kilda, Collingwood, the Brisbane Lions and the Sydney Swans have emerged as potential suitors for Fevola according to the Herald Sun, which also suggests Saints’ onballer Luke Ball could end up at Visy Park as part of the deal.

But no club is yet to declare its interest publicly, with the Coleman Medallist’s $1.4million price tag over two years spooking prospective buyers.

However, The Age reports that Carlton would be willing to pay a portion of Fevola’s salary if the club was adequately compensated during trade week.

The Western Bulldogs have ruled out making a play for Fevola and remain confident of securing ex-Swan Barry Hall despite a standoff between the two clubs.

The talks between the Swans and West Coast regarding ruckman Mark Seaby have also hit a snag according to The Australian, with the Sydneysiders reluctant to give up their second-round draft pick.

The same publication reports the Eagles are also keeping a close eye on out-of-contract Geelong forward Mathew Stokes.

Stokes, 24, was left out of the Cats’ successful grand final team and the club has already conceded it might be forced to trade players to keep the group together.

Ruckman Mark Blake and fleet-footed onballer David Wojcinski are also yet to sign new deals with the club.
