FREMANTLE enters Friday night's game against St Kilda at Telstra Dome as the side under less pressure but Mark Harvey wants a big effort from his side.

Fremantle had its best win of the season on Saturday against North Melbourne, but Harvey is desperate to make sure his playing group lifts again on the big Friday night stage.

"It's fantastic for our group, particularly for our younger players that haven’t played that stage before. It's the biggest game apart from finals for a televised game with one million people watching and it's when you are judged," Harvey said.

"Our guys need to be up to it and can't go out there thinking that the win over the Kangaroos will flow on. We are playing a determined side in St Kilda who have been under siege and are on the foot of the top eight. It's going to be an enthralling game and I've been pumping it up to my players."

The biggest concern for Harvey is that Fremantle has its second consecutive six day break, but will reinvigorate the side with the return of Marcus Drum and Steven Dodd, with dashing defender Josh Head a chance to make his debut after consistently terrific WAFL form with South Fremantle.

"We had a short week before the North Melbourne game too and the playing group came up well, so hopefully we can produce that again," he said.

"It can certainly have an effect, particularly when you have younger guys in your team. I made four changes last week on the back of having concern about the six day break coming back from Brisbane and might have to look at some this week."
