The umpiring panel for the 2022 NAB League Boys Grand Final has been appointed.

Dandenong Stingrays and Sandringham Dragons will meet in the 2022 NAB League Boys Grand Final at IKON Park from 5:10pm Friday. Entry is free.

The match will also be streamed live at AFL.com.au and the NAB League Boys app.

FIELD UMPIRES

Shamus Dundon
Shamus umpired 30 matches in total this season including nine VFL games, 10 NAB League Boys matches, four VFLW games, two NAB League Girls games and five representative games. The 26-year-old is a product of the Western Region Football League.
 
Lachlan Coyne
Lachlan umpired 29 matches during the 2022 season, including the NAB League Girls Grand Final between the Dandenong Stingrays and Western Jets. His tally includes 11 NAB League Boys games, four VFL matches, eight NAB League Girls games and six representative games.  The 20-year-old is from the Essendon District Football League.
 
Cameron Williams
Cameron is a 25-year-old from the Essendon District Football League. He umpired 27 matches throughout the 2022 season. His tally includes four VFL games, 11 NAB League Boys matches, two VFLW games, three NAB League Girls games and seven representative matches.

Sebastian Dalgleish (emergency)
A product of the Ballarat Football Umpires Association, Sebastian is a 22-year-old who umpired 28 matches in total this season. His tally comprised three VFL games, nine NAB League Boys matches, two VFLW games, seven NAB League Girls matches and seven representative games

BOUNDARY UMPIRES

Wade Anderson
From the Southern Umpires Association, Wade is a strong runner and thrower. A consistent umpire, Wade showed a lot of promise early, however a severe concussion midway through the season threatened to derail his season. However, since return from this injury, Wade has gone from strength to strength and impressed observers to find himself in the position he is in. Officiating his first Grand Final.

James Brayshaw
In his second year on the senior list from AFL Barwon, James was on the cusp of senior finals this year. Has performed strongly through the NAB League Boys Finals Series and has now found himself with his first Grand Final berth. A slinger throwing style, James’ throw is a real strength of his.
 
Lachlan Perdon
Second year umpire from Bendigo, Lachlan has worked his way into eight senior games, and performed really well at that level. Lachlan has a nice throw, and a really strong trigger, when he puts the burners on. Based on the year he has had, Lachlan has a bright future in this space. Officiating his first Grand Final.

Ben Rofe
At the start of last year Ben umpired the NTFL Grand Final in Darwin before commencing his journey at VFL level. Ben is a very strong runner, solid thrower, and a very keen learner, who puts a lot of effort into his umpiring and had reaped the rewards of this. Ben also managed to umpire four VFL matches, with very positive feedback on these matches, suggesting he is right at home at the State League Level. From the Ballarat Umpire Association, this is Ben’s first NAB League Boys Grand Final,

GOAL UMPIRES

John Varker
John commenced his career with the Bendigo Umpires. He has umpired 20 VFL games this year. His career stats include 80 VFL matches and six VFL finals. John has had a very consistent year this year. John also umpired the 2018 NAB League Boys Grand Final.
 
Matt Edwards
Matt commenced his career with the Northern Football League. He has umpired 18 VFL games this year. His career stats include 126 VFL matches and six VFL finals. Matt has had a solid year behind the goals. Matt also umpired the 2016 NAB League Boys Grand Final.

Josh Dudman Doyle (emergency)
First year on the AFL State League development goal umpire squad. Josh was recruited from the Ballarat Umpires Association. He has officiated 14 NAB League Boys matches, including three finals.
