WILLIAMSTOWN wrapped up an undefeated pre-season by outlasting Western Bulldogs by 18 points in the sole rebel VFLW practice match played at the weekend.

In the opening game of a VFLW/VFL double-header at Braybrook’s Skinner Reserve, the Bulldogs jumped the Seagulls with 1.2 to nothing in the first quarter, but the visitors took control in the middle two quarters, holding the home team scoreless while adding 3.8 themselves.

Both teams added 1.1 in the last term as Williamstown added the Bulldogs to Geelong and Port Melbourne as pre-season scalps ahead of its season-opening clash against Collingwood at Victoria Park this Saturday.

Teagan Brett was best on ground for Williamstown with two goals, while Thalia Wright, Danika Di Santo and Ruby Tripodi also impressed.
