The AFL is pleased to announce two-time ARIA Award winners Sneaky Sound System will perform as part of the official on field entertainment and at the Pepsi Collective for the upcoming AFL Gather Round…A Festival of Footy.
Closing out Gather Round on Sunday 13 April, Sneaky Sound System will perform on field pre-match ahead of the blockbuster game between Port Adelaide and Hawthorn at Adelaide Oval.
The Sneaky Sound System duo of Angus McDonald and Connie Mitchell will then perform a set in the Pepsi Collective – an elevated match day offering at Adelaide Oval which has become one of the most sought-after tickets for social seekers, over the age of 18, to experience a game of footy like never before.
The AFL is also thrilled to announce that electronic-hip hop duo, Hermitude, will start the Gather Round party on field on Thursday 10 April, before playing a set in the Pepsi Collective, at the exciting opening match of the round between the Adelaide Crows and Geelong Cats.
Coinciding with the announcement of the Thursday and Sunday headline acts in the Pepsi Collective, fans can snap up tickets to the sold-out hot spot with a limited amount of Pepsi Collective tickets to be released on Monday, March 3.
AFL Executive General Manager of Consumer and Commercial Bec Haagsma said the artists will thrill fans at Gather Round and in the Pepsi Collective come April.
“We are so excited to have Sneaky Sound System help close out Gather Round festivities. Their tunes - from UFO to Pictures - will get the party going, and we can’t wait to celebrate with their music and a great game of footy on the Sunday ahead of the final game,” Haagsma said.
“The Pepsi Collective is one of the hottest tickets for Gather Round and with the announcements of Hermitude and Sneaky Sound System, we encourage fans to not miss out and get their tickets to experience the Pepsi Collective for themselves.”
Sneaky Sound System duo Connie Mitchell and Angus McDonald said they are looking forward to playing in Adelaide again.
“Adelaide crowds have always been fun, and we never say no to a game of AFL, so when we got the call-up for Gather Round, there was only ever going to be one answer,” they said.
“We’ll play the fan favourites for the Gather Round crowd, so it’s going to be an absolute feast of footy celebrations, and we can’t wait.”
Hermitude duo Elgusto and Luke Dubs are excited to be part of Gather Rather celebrations.
"We're pumped to be performing at the beautiful Adelaide Oval in front of a massive Gather Round crowd. It's a huge vibe in one of the big footy states. We'll be playing bangers for the Eddie Betts pocket!"
In addition to the headline Pepsi Collective acts, the AFL can reveal that John Course will also play on Thursday night with Adelaide local artists also taking to the stage before Hermitude in Pepsi Collective.
On the Friday night in Pepsi Collective, Superdisco, Andy Murphy and local artists will perform then the two matches on Saturday will be treated to local artists, Andrew Loadsman on Saturday night pre-game, with a special guest to be announced for the post-game performance on Saturday night.
Andrew Loadsman will also perform Sunday pre-game with Adelaide local artists before headline act Sneaky Sound System close out the weekend in the hot spot .
The Pepsi Collective is set in Adelaide Oval’s Magarey Room, and ticket holders will have access to lounges and bars overlooking Adelaide’s city skyline, plus a birds-eye view of the on-field action from the seating bays on Level 3, along with a purpose-built outdoor viewing deck thanks to Pepsi.
A host of premium food, beverage, and entertainment will be available for eventgoers to enjoy with friends, all whilst witnessing the action on the field from one of Adelaide Oval’s best locations.
A limited release of Pepsi Collective tickets for all matches will be available on Monday 3 March from 9.00am ACDT via Ticketek.
