About the Role
The Senior Marketing Manager (12-month parental leave cover) is responsible for developing and driving strategic marketing initiatives that deliver commercial outcomes for the club across match returns, membership, sponsorship, fundraising and corporate.Â
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Brand & Events, this role will:Â
- Assist in the end-to-end development and execution of club marketing campaigns consistent with the brand positioning, club operational plans and key commercial revenue activitiesÂ
- Lead the crowd build working group across multiple internal departments and external stakeholders to drive the crowd build marketing campaigns to deliver growth across AFL/W crowds and match returnsÂ
- Ensure all communications, collateral and events are consistent with the North Melbourne brand and positioningÂ
- Develop key membership campaign plans to increase membership revenueÂ
- Develop marketing plans to increase commercial revenues across corporate hospitality, events, fundraising and partnerships and ensure their objectives are metÂ
- Drive the EDM and SMS strategy for the club using Salesforce and Marketing Cloud platformsÂ
- AFLW talent pathway networks (e.g. NAB League, Coates Talent League, community and state programs).Â
Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a commercially minded and creative marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are a strategic project manager and collaborator, with the ability to turn insights into action and campaigns into results. You build strong relationships with stakeholders, communicate with impact, and bring energy, resilience and initiative to everything you do.Â
The successful candidate will also have:Â
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing manager or equivalent roleÂ
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skillsÂ
- Strong facilitation and influencing skills across cross-functional teamsÂ
- Clear and confident communication style, able to engage all levels of stakeholdersÂ
- Ability to develop and manage clear project plans and execute with paceÂ
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link activity to ROI and business outcomesÂ
- Strategic mindset with strong creative problem-solving skillsÂ
- Team-oriented with high emotional intelligence and authenticityÂ
- Degree qualification in Marketing, Sports Business or a related disciplineÂ
The successful candidate is required to undergo and pass a police check, and hold a current and valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check.Â
