GARY Ablett has aggravated his reconstructed left shoulder and Michael Rischitelli has almost certainly ruptured his ACL in a horror QClash victory for Gold Coast.

Suns coach Rodney Eade confirmed Rischitelli's injury post-match, saying the popular leader heard a "pop" in his knee.

News surrounding Ablett's injury was a little more unclear after the Suns champion was taken off in the final quarter of the 26-point win.

"Best case scenario it might be some scar tissue and a bit of pain through it," Eade said.

"Worst case, he may have had an episode of dislodging it a bit.

"We're hopeful it's not that, we'll wait until scans.

"He's got reasonable strength and reasonable range of movement, which is a positive sign."

Ablett dislocated the same shoulder almost two years ago to the day against Collingwood.

He will have scans on Monday.

Rischitelli's injury is a devastating blow for the Suns.

"It looks like an ACL," Eade said.

"We can say we can wait for scans, which we'll have to, but I think it's fairly certain.

"He has been the heart and soul a little bit and he's so well respected.

"Hopefully he can come back a bit quicker, if it's going to be 12 months or more it really puts him down for next season."

Rischitelli, 31, was playing his 100th game for the club – ironically against the club he won a best and fairest with in 2010.

Dion Prestia also has a knee niggle and is in doubt to play the Western Bulldogs next week.

"We get them back in three or four weeks and all of a sudden, the witch hits us again with the black stick," Eade said.
