LACHIE Henderson has been recalled for his first appearance of the season, replacing the injured Jack Henry in Geelong's side for its Thursday night clash with Adelaide.

The experienced Henderson has been absent from an unbeaten Cats side for the first two games of the year, but returns in defence for their trip to Adelaide Oval.

Henry's absence due to a hamstring strain is the only enforced change for a Geelong team that has made a superb 2-0 start to its campaign.

Adelaide has also made just one enforced change, with young ruckman Reilly O'Brien replacing veteran big man Sam Jacobs for the blockbuster clash.

Jacobs was hobbled by a knee injury during last week's victory over Sydney, with the 202cm O'Brien set to replace his mentor in the ruck.
