'How's Brad going?' Saints sounding out star Crow

Gun Crow 'open-minded' on trade talks Lunchtime Live discuss the future of several Adelaide players, including Brad Crouch and Eddie Betts

ADELAIDE midfielder Brad Crouch has confirmed St Kilda has approached his manager.

AFL.com.au reported Crouch was open-minded about trade talks on Wednesday and the 25-year-old is in the Saints' sights.

Crouch, who hails from North Ballarat, is due to become a restricted free agent at the end of 2020.

"In my situation at the moment I haven’t had any contact with any clubs other than Adelaide," Crouch told 5AA.

"Like a lot of different players would have experienced throughout the whole AFL, other clubs can go to your management and say, even three years out of contract or in contract, and go 'is Brad happy? Would he think about coming to wherever for this and that?'

"That sort of thing happens all the time. That's happened to my manager.

"They (St Kilda) have spoken to my manager, but that's just 'How's Brad going?'. That's all it is.

"My manager said straight away 'Brad's enjoying himself at the footy club and just wants to play footy'.

"That's the way it comes out in the media … but it creates a headline. It's virtually nothing."

After a career riddled by injuries and a year-long groin complaint in 2018, Crouch is on track to play every game for the first time this season.

He is averaging 30.7 disposals and has booted 10 goals in a trying campaign for the Crows, who face the Saints at home on Saturday night in a finals-shaping clash.
