[16:58:42] Spelly: Hi Fraser, welcome to the chat site. Are your injury concerns over?

[16:59:08] Fraser Gehrig: Yeah, they are. Just started full training in the last week and a half.

[16:59:28] Scout_12: Hey :) who did u barrack for as a kid?

[16:59:41] Fraser Gehrig: Fitzroy - I had an uncle who played there.

[17:00:16] HarveysDeciple: You made your name as a forward, but have established yourself as a full back, do you see yourself in a permanent forward role, now that we have Kosi and Penny?

[17:00:54] Fraser Gehrig: I probably see myself playing hopefully more forward this year, possibly full forward.

[17:01:09] footy_gal: Who do u think will be Captain next year?

[17:01:30] Fraser Gehrig: Aaron Hamill, Lenny Hayes, or Andrew Thompson.

[17:01:46] jamie9: Can we expect to see you in full flight come pre-season - against Hawks in Tassie?

[17:02:19] Fraser Gehrig: I don't know whether I’ll be playing that early. I’ll probably still be trying to reach full fitness at that stage.

[17:02:40] Scout_12: Are you friends with any AFL players that aren't from St Kilda?

[17:02:59] Fraser Gehrig: I still have mates from West Coast, and a couple of mates have just retired.

[17:03:14] Jayman15: Fraser, what area of your game do you believe you need to improve?

[17:03:43] Fraser Gehrig: Just getting my body right, trying to stay fit and injury free.

[17:04:08] Scout_12: Which team do you most like playing?

[17:04:44] Fraser Gehrig: I don't think I’ve got any real favourites, but it's always good to play against the top sides.

[17:04:57] jamie9: Can you see yourself still playing with the Saints in 4 to 5 years time?

[17:05:37] Fraser Gehrig: That would probably be seeing me out, but hopefully we can be successful over the next 4 years.

[17:05:51] dodgy: Fraser, who would you rate as your toughest opponent?

[17:06:15] Fraser Gehrig: Lockett and Hird.

[17:06:33] footy_gal: What do u think are the Saints realistic chances of making the finals this year?

[17:07:22] Fraser Gehrig9: Yeah, I think we're a good chance. Over the next 3 or 4 years we see ourselves as a top 4 side, so top 8 is not out of the question this year.

[17:07:41] cheeky_lil_milne: Fraser, who do you consider to be amongst the most talented at the club that we may not have seen much of yet?

[17:08:06] Fraser Gehrig: Luke Ball and Brendon Goddard.

[17:08:19] soda: Who are the stand-outs on the track so far Fraser?

[17:08:34] Fraser Gehrig: Probably Lenny Hayes.

[17:09:02] Scout_12: Who do you get along with best at the Saints?

[17:09:40] Fraser Gehrig: Steve Lawrence, Matty Capuano, Max Hudghton, Heath Black and Aaron Hamill.

[17:09:53] footy_gal: What are your other interests outside footy?

[17:10:25] Fraser Gehrig: Other sports, and I’ve got an interest in property development as well.

[17:10:43] dodgy: Fraser, do you have ambitions for captaincy?

[17:10:53] Fraser Gehrig: No, not really.

[17:11:05] HarveysDeciple: What is the greatest thing you've achieved out of footy so far?

[17:11:43] Fraser Gehrig: All Australian 1997, finals and friends.

[17:12:03] signed_sealed_sainter: BIG G, how's Coiny coming along? He looked good in a forward type role at training today.

[17:13:15] Fraser Gehrig: Yeah, he's in really good condition. He's putting in 100% and going great guns. He will probably play both up forward and down back this season.

[17:13:38] dodgy: Fraser, what is the most impressive thing about Grant Thomas?

[17:14:13] Fraser Gehrig: The way he communicates and gives the players a greater involvement in the club.

[17:14:36] footy_gal: How have the newer players settled into the club, and are they training well?

[17:15:18] Fraser Gehrig: Yeah they're all going really well, including the 2 rookies. They've joined in most of the training and we're expecting big things from a couple of them.

[17:15:36] HarveysDeciple: How good a role model is Robert Harvey to have around the club, and how valuable do you see that being to the young players?

[17:16:43] Fraser Gehrig: He's a great role model; there couldn't be a much better role model for younger players around the club. He has a great work ethic, and has achieved so many things out of the sport.

[17:16:54] cheeky_lil_milne: How is Nathan Burke coming along? Will he be ready come Round 1?

[17:17:23] Fraser Gehrig: He's coming along really well, and will hopefully be ready for the start of the season.

[17:17:47] jamie9: Are you looking forward to playing your old team early this season?

[17:18:30] Fraser Gehrig: Yeah, definitely, I really enjoy the challenge. I didn't play them last year, but it should be good and hopefully we can come away with the win.

[17:18:41] dodgy: I noticed the style of footy was very direct at training today. Is that part of the new ‘brand’?

[17:19:05] Fraser Gehrig: Yeah, to keep it simple, and to work down the middle.

[17:19:18] jamie9: What do you do for preparation before a game?

[17:19:52] Fraser Gehrig: Just the standard routine. Massage, stretch, and a focus period just before the game.

[17:20:06] HarveysDeciple: Can you see Brooks playing a big role this year, or do you think he needs time?

[17:20:59] Fraser Gehrig: He's definitely going to need time, but I can certainly see him playing a bit of senior footy this year. He may take a couple of years to come along though.

[17:21:39] jamie9: Can you kick goals from outside 50m on a set shot very well?

[17:22:02] Fraser Gehrig: I can, but it's something I do need to work on a bit more.

[17:22:50] Fraser Gehrig: Thanks very much for all the questions guys. I hope to see you all down at the games this year!
