"I'M NOT going to change my game - never have, never will," were the words of Gold Coast vice-captain Campbell Brown after his controversial game against the Western Bulldogs.
An unrepentant Brown is certain to be in trouble with the AFL match review panel after incidents with Callan Ward and Barry Hall, but he told Channel Seven's Game Day on Sunday this was how he played football.
"There probably is a fine line, but Gold Coast knew what they were going to get when they got me up there," Brown said.
"Whether you call it crossing the line, I've done it my whole career and sometimes I do it and I try not to.
"I think I've got a lot better over the years, but that's just the way I play and if I didn't play that way, I probably wouldn't be playing AFL footy."
Brown also refused to apologise.
"I don't think I've got anything to apologise for, I would never ring the Western Bulldogs to do that," he said.
"If you slow [the vision] down, you'll see I make absolutely no contact with [Barry Hall's] head whatsoever.
"I hit him on the left shoulder ... it's not his head, his head doesn't go flying back. It's a free kick and that's as far as I think it will go."
