The AFL congratulates field umpire Ray Chamberlain who will officiate in his 350th AFL game during this Saturday's Round 21 match between St Kilda and Sydney to be played at Marvel Stadium.

Chamberlain made his AFL umpiring debut in Round 15, 2004 and has officiated 349 matches so far, including 29 finals and three Grand Finals.

AFL Head of Umpiring Dan Richardson congratulated Chamberlain for his dedication to the game over the past 17 years as a field umpire.

"Ray's journey into AFL umpiring was slightly different to what we usually see across our umpiring cohort," Mr Richardson said.

"He was promoted to the AFL list midway through the 2004 season after being recognised as the best state league umpire across the country. Since then, Ray has continued to work hard at his craft, and has remained incredibly resilient over his past 349 games.

"Ray's contribution to the game and to the AFL umpiring community at all levels of the game over the past 17 years has been exceptional and we congratulate him on achieving such a significant milestone."

AFL Umpiring Head Coach Michael Jennings congratulated Chamberlain on his AFL Umpiring career.

"Officiating in 350 AFL games is a great achievement and a testament to Ray's professionalism and dedication to the game across many years," Mr Jennings said.

"Ray reaches this significant milestone as a highly respected member of the AFL Umpiring team.

"To reach 350 AFL games, including 23 finals and three Grand Finals, is a remarkable achievement and we thank Ray for his ongoing contribution and dedication to the game."
