The State Government has repeatedly assured the AFL the game will go ahead at the MCG as scheduled but the AFL will wait to confirm a ticket on-sale date once the ground handover has been officially announced.
The AFL will notify AFL Members of the on-sale date as soon as tickets are available for purchase.
AFL Members will have their usual access to this game once this date is ratified. Tickets for competing club members and the general public have also been put back.
We acknowledge this is very short notice and that some of our members may have already made plans to purchase tickets this weekend. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our Members.
