THERE is now a clear top four – but no obvious winner – as one of the most exciting Brownlow medal counts in recent memory hits the home straight.

Marcus Bontempelli holds a one-vote lead with three rounds remaining, ahead of Ollie Wines – who has broken Port Adelaide's vote record – in second.

Sam Walsh is third with Clayton Oliver in striking distance, while Darcy Parish has dropped off the leaders in fifth.

Walsh and Parish did not poll in round 19.

With the all-time votes record sitting at 36 (Dustin Martin in 2017), Bontempelli had an astonishing 27 tucked away by round 15.

Jack Steele is rapidly climbing up the leaderboard, polling nine in four games, but looks to have made his run too late to finish on the podium.

Suspended Suns star Touk Miller is beginning to make his run, while veteran Docker David Mundy – with every vote given a round of applause by the Perth audience – has shown age is no barrier.

Jake Stringer polled his first votes for the year in round 14, Jarryd Lyons' strong year for the Lions has been recognised by the umpires, while delisted Saint Luke Dunstan has polled 11 votes.

In other Brownlow news, Caleb Serong won the rebel Goal of the Year, Shai Bolton took out the Four'N Twenty Mark of the Year, and Travis Boak was awarded the Jim Stynes Community Award.
