Nick Riewoldt: I really enjoy playing midfield the most, but it's tough to get a gig there!
stkildachick: Hey Nick, do you think that this year the Saints will finish top 8, realistically?
Nick Riewoldt: Definitely, it's one of the goals of all the players this year, we've got off to a good start, but there's lots of hard work to be done yet. Hopefully, come September, you can come and watch us.
CRYSSiE: What’s your pre-match routine? Can you tell Goddard that next time he is at home to come and visit me!?
Nick Riewoldt: I get up about 8:30 and go down to the ocean for a swim, then watch telly for a while and drive to the game with Justin. We listen to Michael Jackson on the way!
danni_luvs_riewoldt: What part of Germany are your relatives from?
Nick Riewoldt: Dad was born in Berlin and came out when he was a boy, but my grandparents still speak German at home.
saintweed: Do you remember the days’ at the Robina Common?
Nick Riewoldt: Is that Michael? We had a few good parties at Robina.
saints97: Hi Nick, it’s great to see you playing well. Is it hard to stay focused with all the media attention you get?
Nick Riewoldt: Not at all - if anything, the media attention makes you focus even harder, it's easy for them to pump you up, but if you start going bad, they will bring you down fast - twice as fast.
footygal: Hi Nick, great to have 3 wins in a row. Is everyone pretty confident about the weekend?
Nick Riewoldt: Yes, definitely, we talk about earning respect, and we've started to do that, but we haven't beaten any top 8 sides yet. Fremantle at Subiaco is another way to earn respect.
Premiers2003: What’s one thing that sticks out in your mind when you first came to St Kilda?
Nick Riewoldt: I suppose not that much is still around from when I arrived, we've got a new coach and everything. My first memories are a bit blurred, but the big thing was how much footy was like a religion here compared to the Gold Coast.
Signed_Sealed_Sainter_Forever: Hey Nick, congratulations on your success so far, who’s your best mate down at the Club?
Nick Riewoldt: I live with Justin (Kosi), and we get along really well, other than that - Bakes, Lenny, Aaron and pretty much all the young boys.
noddy04: Nick, when do you leave for WA, and when do you come back?
Nick Riewoldt: Our preparation is a bit different this time, we leave on Friday and train there on Friday, play on Sunday and come home Sunday night.
saintweed: Do you miss your friends and family?
Nick Riewoldt: Definitely, I miss my family and friends and the lifestyle, there's nothing like the Robina Common down here!
Stevierox: What do you think has been your best game this year?
Nick Riewoldt: I suppose Loewe's last game last year.
hows: How's the knee Nick?
Nick Riewoldt: The knee is fine, there are a few residual problems, but they will be monitored for the rest of my career.
Premiers2003: What do you do to relax and get away from footy?
Nick Riewoldt: I play a bit of golf on days off, but there is really no escaping the spotlight in Melbourne, that's why I like to go home so much.
njh: I'm 8 years old, how can I get involved in footy, especially the Saints?
Nick Riewoldt: Sign up for a junior membership to be involved with the Saints, and get involved in Auskick - the main thing is just to enjoy your footy.
danni_luvs_riewoldt: Hi Nick, can you please tell us about your girlfriend Jacqui? Will you please marry me?
Nick Riewoldt: She lives near me, she's 19 and she got her licence today!
Kalliopi: What is your favourite type of music?
Nick Riewoldt: Being a Gold Coast boy, I love the punk and ska - I don't mind some house and club music as well.
saints97: Is it good to play with Harvey when he’s on fire?
Nick Riewoldt: You almost find yourself standing still as a spectator - he is inspirational to watch.
noddy04: When you were a ‘kid’, who did you support, and who were your heroes?
Nick Riewoldt: I supported Hawthorn before I moved to Queensland and barracked for Brisbane - my heroes were Dunstall and Voss.
LozZiE: Hi Nick, do you ever watch Saints Scared on Saints TV?
Nick Riewoldt: Yes I do - Milney and Bakes are pretty funny! Have you seen it on The Fat on ABC as well?
Stevierox: Hey Nick! How much pressure is on you to perform well because of last year’s success?
Nick Riewoldt: I think there is pressure on everyone this year to live up to expectations - I just want to keep improving, and any expectations supporters have, I hope to live up to them.
Guest26212: Nick, if you weren't a footballer what would you be?
Nick Riewoldt: I played a lot of cricket so I might still be pursuing that, and be on the Gold Coast doing an exercise science degree.
NICK_IS_HOT: Nick, do you think the combination of all you young guys and the more experienced players has finally come together?
Nick Riewoldt: I think our results to date speak for themselves; there is a terrific balance between the experienced players and young guys.
stkildachick: What actually happened with Heath Black at training, was it blown out of proportion in the media?
Nick Riewoldt: YES! We are good mates.
SainterNo2: Hi Nick. I love to watch you and the rest of the guys play. What is your favourite ground?
Nick Riewoldt: Telstra Dome, because you always know what the conditions will be like - roof closed.
stewdogga: What do you think of Frankie Peckett? He’s going alright for an old bloke ay?
Nick Riewoldt: Going very well, he's playing a really important role, he's got great skills, and as a forward, there is no-one better to get it from.
LozZiE: What is your favourite TV show?
Nick Riewoldt: CSI.
boo12: Are you planning to stay with St Kilda?
Nick Riewoldt: I’m contracted for another 3 years, and I love the St Kilda Football Club.
yvette_luvs_delsanto: Goddard seems really quiet, me and my friend tried to have a convo with him (we were at training this morning - I was in my school uniform and was with a friend). Is Goddard always really quiet and shy, like how’s he fitting in?
Nick Riewoldt: He's still a young guy, so he tends to listen and observe more, he's very modest too.
kyliej: Do you like being seen as a role model for younger footballers?
Nick Riewoldt: It's a terrific feeling, you just hope as a role model you can portray the right image and encourage kids to follow their dream.
Lawry: Hey, we have a very talented playing group, do you think that St Kilda will be able to retain all of their young talent without players leaving the Club?
Nick Riewoldt: I think success will ensure that we keep this group together.
Nick Riewoldt: Thanks for the questions guys, it's a good start to the year, but we're not getting carried away. We need you all to stick behind us, and hopefully we'll cap it off with a spot in the finals’.
Sorry, I have to go now, I would like to answer all the questions, but I have a players’ dinner tonight.
Thanks again, cheers!
