The AFL congratulates Jennifer Watt on her appointment as the North Melbourne Football Club's new Chief Executive.
A graduate of the AFL's Gen W Executive Women's Talent Program, Ms Watt has over 19 years' experience across AFL clubs and venues, including a small secondment period with the AFL in 2016.
"On behalf of everyone at the AFL, congratulations to Jen and Sonja and the entire North Melbourne Football Club," AFL Chief Executive Gillon McLachlan said.
"A fantastic appointment for North Melbourne, a fantastic appointment for the AFL industry, we know Jen will be a great leader for her new club and a great leader for the industry."
AFL EGM People Sarah Fair also congratulated Ms Watt.
"Jen is known to many at AFL house, making an impression with her strong commercial acumen, breadth of industry expertise and experience, and most importantly leadership capability," Ms Fair said.
"Jen's appointment gives us great confidence in our industry talent programs, especially our Gen W Executive Women's Program designed to identify key club and AFL talent and provide the tools, guidance, and support to continue to provide opportunities like this one.
