THERE has been good news for youngsters Dyson Heppell, Tom Liberatore, Jack Darling and Shaun Atley who are all about to play their first games after being named in their respective sides' final teams.

However, Western Bulldogs father-son draftee Mitch Wallis and West Coast's Andrew Gaff will have to wait another week after being pushed onto the emergency list from the extended squad.

Wallis' close friend Liberatore has been named to start on ball for the Dogs' Sunday clash with Essendon at Etihad Stadium alongside another first gamer in Lukas Markovic, who will line up at full back.

Other new Bulldogs Nathan Djerrkura and Justin Sherman have been named on the bench, while Ed Barlow and Will Minson are the other two emergencies.

Minson's omission from the side means the Dogs will face Essendon's two ruckmen David Hille and Patrick Ryder with just one big man - Ben Hudson.

Heppell will run out in the red and black after being named on the half back flank while elevated rookie Stewart Crameri will play his fourth game.

The Bombers' other big man Tom Bellchambers is an emergency along with Brent Prismall and Travis Colyer.

There was room in the Eagles' side set to face North Melbourne at Patersons Stadium for Darling but not their top 2010 draftee Gaff, who has been dropped back to the emergency list with Mark Nicoski and Callum Wilson.

The Roos have gone to plan and are set to give Atley his first game after naming him on the half forward flank. Also debuting for the Roos are mature-aged pair Cam Pederson and Cam Richardson, who will start in the backline.

And, as expected, Melbourne has named Luke Tapscott to start in the middle and the Sydney Swans Byron Sumner on the bench for debuts in their clubs' clash at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.
