Already the host of a successful Swans podcast 'Conversations with Cal', Sinclair converted the spare room in house into a podcast room and got to work on building a film and photography studio for his other business venture 'Brooklyn Studios'.
It was all about staying as productive as possible during the game's 81-day suspension period, as Sinclair not only interviewed current Sydney teammates like Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker and Isaac Heeney, but also past greats and fans from outside of football.
Comedian Adam Spencer, actress Lynne McGregor and Swans legends like Jude Bolton, Michael O'Loughlin and Ted Richards have also been on the podcast, keeping both Sinclair and Sydney supporters entertained during the break in play.
"I got the ability to spend a bit more time on a couple of passion projects that I've wanted to do for a while," Sinclair told AFL.com.au's Beyond Footy.
"I really do enjoy the storytelling aspect of it and putting a smile on people's faces. I really like having a laugh, to be honest.
"I think, with the length of a podcast, it gives players an opportunity to let their hair down a little bit and have a bit of fun. Everyone is from a really diverse background and in a team environment, it's good to have different personalities and get to know who they are.
"Football clubs are very fun and great places and full of great people, so it's not too much fun spending time in your living room and in your bedroom. Being around people again is definitely something I'm looking forward to the most."
