The Gold Coast SUNS are on the journey to become the most exciting football club in Australia. In 2011, we will make our debut in the AFL and bring the excitement of live AFL football and a brand new state of the art stadium experience to the Gold Coast Community.
To ensure our fans and members are dressed to impress in Gold Coast SUNS team wear, we are seeking a passionate, adaptable and organised Retail and Merchandise Coordinator to join our clubs journey.
The Retail and Merchandise Coordinator will be responsible for:
• Implementing the GC SUNS licensing and merchandising strategic plan;
• Coordinating catalogue and direct marketing campaigns;
• Assist in managing the GC SUNS on-site merchandise shop;
• Identifying, leading and managing merchandise staff for all home game retail outlets;
• Coordinating the online content for website shopping ;
• Administrative duties as directed by the Manager - Retail & Merchandise.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Retail management experience;
• Website retailing experience and solid eCommerce knowledge base;
• Direct Marketing and/or catalogue experience;
• Experience in leading, motivating and managing others;
• High level written and oral communication skills;
• Experience in driving new initiatives and implementing marketing strategies;
• Exceptional customer service skills
• A strong personal brand that personifies the GC SUNS values of bold, fresh, dependable and community:
• Experience in a sporting or events environment (highly desirable).
