Fraser Gehrig: Definitely, I’ve had a week to recover so I’m right.
country_carla: I read in the paper a little while ago that your Mum cried when you had to leave Wodonga ... is she happier now you're closer to home?
Fraser Gehrig: Yeah, she certainly is - it's a big move to Perth at 17. She comes down to watch all the games in Melbourne.
cappa: Hey Fraser, how many kg can you bench-press and who are the 3 strongest one on one players you've ever played on.
Fraser Gehrig: We don't really do tests these days, but the 3 strongest would be Ashley McIntosh, Mal Michael and probably Stephen Silvagni.
GOOSE: I heard a rumour and wanted to see if there is any truth in it ... when you’re on a lead do you call out “here comes the G-train”?
Fraser Gehrig: Very bad rumour ... don't know where you got that one from!
saintem: Hey Fraser, hows the Juice Bar going? Do you get down there a lot?
Fraser Gehrig: It’s going OK - it's just opened in Acland Street, and I get down there a few times a week.
saintz_rock: You are a great player! I just want to ask you how do you think you will go on the weekend against Collingwood?
Fraser Gehrig: Quietly confident ... it will be a hard game, but if we play the way we have, I hope we'll get the points!
gene: Who was your favourite footy player when you were young?
Fraser Gehrig: Paul Roos.
StiNKy: How would you rate your own performance this year? Will we see any more 8+ goals per match?
Fraser Gehrig: My performances have been OK without being great ... goals aren't really an issue as long as we win the game and I contribute.
lovin_lenny: What was your response to the double page article in the Herald Sun in April labelling you as a ‘Super Saint’, and giving everyone an insight in to your life so far?
Fraser Gehrig: Not overly impressed - they didn't interview me, and it was a bit embarrassing.
saintem: Which game has been the most enjoyable so far this year?
Fraser Gehrig: Probably the Fremantle game.
Jess_the_Saint: Now that you don't have the mullet for the boys to bag you about, is there anything else they bag you about? Any nicknames they've got for you?
Fraser Gehrig: Probably just the lack of hair!
Spelly: Fraser, do you hear the 'Gehrig, Gehrig, Gehrig' chant coming from the St Kilda members' area on the wing at Telstra Dome?
Fraser Gehrig: Sometimes, not that often though!
saintaz_girl: What’s the most amount of goals you've kicked in one game?
Fraser_Gehrig: 9.
G_O_GG_O: Hey Fraser, what was it like for all the guys travelling over to W.A.? Did they all enjoy it?
Fraser Gehrig: They really enjoyed it ... it was a bit of an eye opener for a lot of them because it was their first trip. It was very enjoyable!
cya: Did you play your junior years in Albury/Wodonga?
Fraser Gehrig: Yes, in Wodonga.
saint_jenna: Hey Fraser, how did Lenny take the news of being suspended? He was in the running for the Brownlow in my opinion!
Fraser Gehrig: He was OK - he realised he probably did the wrong thing ... it was harder for the team to cover him, but he's probably good enough to win a Brownlow.
lovin_lenny: Did you ever expect that ‘The Mullet’ would receive so much attention?
Fraser Gehrig: No, certainly not! It started just as a joke amongst the players.
saintem: How was it captaining the Saints on the weekend? Would you like to do it for a season?
Fraser Gehrig: Very enjoyable, but I probably wouldn't like to do it for a full season.
Jess_the_Saint: I read that you still hold the record for the fastest time in one of your races when you were back in school ... how do you compare now to back then?
Fraser Gehrig: Probably slowed down a bit as I’ve got older and heavier!
lovin_lenny: Heath Black seems to have improved out of sight so far this season - how is his suspension going to affect the team?
Fraser Gehrig: He has been playing really well, and he will be a big loss because he uses the football really well, but it gives someone else an opportunity.
sassafras: Fras, you don't show much emotion when kicking a goal ... will you surprise us fans one day with a chainsaw move?
Fraser Gehrig: Milney's more the chainsaw now, but maybe I can come up with something different!
torza: Hey Fraser, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Fraser Gehrig: Nothing too exciting ... just go out for lunch, relax, and watch other sports.
Koko: Hi Fraser, been loving your work since you have moved to the goal square. Has your injury affected your accuracy for goal recently?
Fraser Gehrig: No, it hasn't - I just haven't been kicking as well as I should be!
saintem: I just got a job at your Juice Bar! I hope to see you down there this week!
Fraser Gehrig: Maybe tomorrow if you're working!
Jess_the_Saint: Do you think Stevie Baker will slot back in easy this week, or does Grant like how the younger boys are going - like Sammy Fisher?
Fraser Gehrig: He's very happy with the younger guys, but I expect Steve to come straight back in especially with Heath Black missing.
cya: Is it a rumour that you won the Under 10's Grand Final in Wodonga?
Fraser Gehrig: I do miss Wodonga - I miss my family there, and it's a good place to grow up in ... I think we did win the Under 9 and Under 11 Grand Finals.
Matteo: Hey Fraser, do you think you will win the Coleman Medal?
Fraser Gehrig: I don't really think about it ... I just care about the side winning!
lenny_rox: What differences do you see between playing for the Saints and West Coast?
Fraser Gehrig: Hard question - probably West Coast was very successful during that period, and the success of St Kilda is still ahead of us.
saintem: You guys got really into it at the end of the Freo match - even went up to the crowd! Will we see that in Melbourne?
Fraser Gehrig: I think when we win in Melbourne we always acknowledge the crowd with a clap!
saint_jenna: I bet you enjoy being at a club with such talent, and being able to watch the team grow and develop in to the brilliant team we have.
Fraser Gehrig: I am enjoying it, and we have a good young side, but we haven't achieved anything yet so hopefully it's all ahead of us!
Fraser Gehrig: Thanks for your support, and I look forward to hearing you being very loud on Saturday night! Thanks again, see you later!
