THE AFL has released the dates and times for the final round of the 2021 rebel VFLW home and away Premiership Season and Round 11 of the VFL Premiership Season.

Collingwood, Geelong, Port Melbourne, Casey Demons and Essendon have guaranteed themselves a place in the 2021 rebel VFLW Finals with their dominant performances across the season. The final spot in the top six will come down to two matches – Western Bulldogs v Casey Demons and Southern Saints v North Melbourne. The Southern Saints currently sit in sixth position with a healthy percentage but a loss to North Melbourne and a win to the Western Bulldogs will see them swap in the race to the Finals.
 
The 2021 rebel VFLW Finals series will commence on Saturday July 3 with the Grand Final to be played on Sunday July 25. Elimination Finals will be played between 3rd v 6th and 4th v 5th. Qualifying Final will be between the top two sides with the winning side to earn a double-chance.

Matches are subject to state border restrictions and the AFL will continue to work with all State Governments on the travelling of VFL teams this weekend

All VFL clubs return to the field this weekend after the VFL bye-period with 11 matches across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales starting Friday when Brisbane Lions host Geelong live and free on Kayo Freebies at 11.35am. Six matches on Saturday is headlined by Frankston travelling to the Holden Centre to face Collingwood before Sandringham host Richmond at Trevor Barker Oval, Sandringham at 2.00pm.
 
Two of the oldest VFL clubs face off on Sunday when Port Melbourne host Williamstown at ETU Stadium at 2.00pm with an old rivalry to spark when the Northern Bullants host Carlton at Preston City Oval.

The fixture for the VFL will continue to be a week-by-week proposition for the short-term with a fixture for the remainder of the VFL season to be released shortly. The AFL is committed to working through the rounds plus finals to complete the season.

The AFL will continue to work with the Victorian State Government and Health Officials on the return of crowds at matches this weekend.
 
We acknowledge this remains a complicated and rapidly evolving situation but as a football industry we will band together to support each other. This is a reminder that we are all part of a broader society with a responsibility to make sure our community remains safe.
 
The AFL will continue to meet with all parties and plan for all scenarios acting on the advice from government, relevant health departments and medical experts. We will communicate any updates and provide advice in a timely manner.
