Glenelg’s Stratarama Stadium will host the first senior men’s representative clash between the VFL and SANFL since 2016.

The fierce rivalry between the Smithy’s VFL and Hostplus SANFL League will reignite on Saturday, April 6 when the best players from both competitions face off during the AFL Gather Round… A Festival of Footy, which will take place in South Australia from April 4-7.

The match will commence at 12:40pm local time (1:10pm AEDT) at the home of famous SANFL club Glenelg, with the venue confirmed this week following the announcement back in December that the match would take place.

The best VFL-listed players from the 21-team competition will be selected to represent the ‘Big V’ in the league’s first representative match in seven years.

A bye has been scheduled in the Smithy's VFL fixture that weekend, with no matches to be played across the competition.

The VFL’s coaching panel and initial playing squad will be announced shortly.

Ticketing and broadcast details will be confirmed in due course.
